God IS ALWAYS in control - TT

Recently I have heard many talk of the uncertainty of our times. They are worried about economics, government and the future. And while I do understand the times we are in, I have an even greater understand of the God who reigns over all economics, government and the future. Nothing takes God by surprise. He knows who will be president in 2009 and He will not be surprised by it. No one - absolutely NO ONE can thwart the plans of God.
Isaiah 14:24-27 says "Surely, as I have planned, so it will be, and as I have purposed, so it will stand....This is the plan determined for the whole world; this is the hand stretched out over all nations. For the LORD Almighty has purposed, and who can thwart him? His hand is stretched out, and who can turn it back?"

So today I am thankful for a God that I can trust, a God that is soveriegnly in control of all things.

I am also thankful for....

A God that promises to take of all my NEEDS - not those things I THINK I need.
Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.1 Peter 5:7
So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear? For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Matt 6:31-34
A God that is good and promises good to me.
O Sovereign Lord, you are God! Your words are trustworthy, and you have promised these good things to your servant.I have confidence in a God that gives hope to all generations.2 Samuel 7:28
A God who can do many great and mighty things.
say to those with fearful hearts, "Be strong, do not fear; your God will come, he will come with vengeance; with divine retribution he will come to save you." Isaiah 35:4
"Ah, Sovereign Lord, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you. Jeremiah 32:17
"O Sovereign LORD, you have begun to show to your servant your greatness and your strong hand. For what god is there in heaven or on earth who can do the deeds and mighty works you do? Deuteronomy 3:24
A God that holds me in His hand and helps me.
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. For I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you. Isaiah 41:10,13
A God who calls me His.
But now, this is what the LORD says-- he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel:"Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. Isaiah 43:1
May we remember in times like theses the God who is in control.

Vist Iris for some more great ladies who are thankful!
