A prayer using parts of Psalm 119
My prayer for myself today and for each one of you is "that we would be filled with "unfailing love" and that our hearts would be open to be taught of God through the Spirit. I pray that we would remember that God has done many good things for us, just as He promised. Jesus help us to believe in your commands and teach us good judgment and knowledge.
Father we so easily wonder off, thank you for your discipline so that we will closely follow your word. Teach us your principles and help us be blameless in keeping them. Oh Father I pray for each woman, including myself that we would "faint with longing for your salvation" and that we would "put our hope in your word" Help us Father to cry out with the Psalmist "Oh, how I love your law! I think about it all day long. You are my refuge and my shield; your word is my only source of hope. Your decrees are wonderful. No wonder I obey them!" Your words have taught us, they give us light so that we can understand them. Come and show us your mercy, guide us step be step in your word so that we will not be overcome by evil.
Oh Father my heart is distraught over those who disobey your laws. God you are righteous, your decrees are perfect and you are entirely worthy of our trust. Oh how I long for You and Your words. Let our “lips burst forth with praise, for you have taught us your principles. Let our tongue sing about your word, for all your commands are right.
Oh God I so often am prone to wandered away like a lost sheep. When I do I pray that you come and find me, for I will not forget your commands.
Psalm 119 is one of my favorites. It was refreshing to hear it in the form of prayer like the Psalmist wrote it. Very good post.
