From the end of the earth I will cry to You,
When my heart is overwhelmed; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
For You have been a shelter for me, A strong tower from the enemy.
I will abide in Your tabernacle forever;
I will trust in the shelter of Your wings. Selah
For You, O God, have heard my vows;
You have given me the heritage of those who fear Your name.
You will prolong the king's life, His years as many generations.
He shall abide before God forever.
Oh, prepare mercy and truth, which may preserve him!
So I will sing praise to Your name forever, That I may daily perform my vows.
Psalms 61 (NKJ)
Oh Father as I read this today I was reminded that when I feel overwhelmed it is to you that I must run. You are my strength and my shelter. Oh Father it's in You and Your strength, it's in Your spirit that I am able to do that which you have called me to do. Thank you Father.

ReplyDeleteSharon-
ReplyDeleteHow appropriate and timely is this psalm. My issue lately has been the lies of the Adversary. Thanks for posting this psalm – a great reminder that My God is a strong tower from the enemy and I can take refuge in the shelter of His wings.
May He continue to strengthen you and make your path.
Blessings.
Myriam
