This is a song by Jami Smith, who I've never heard of until just a few days ago, she is singing Salt and Light. So I thought I'd play it for you. I love the words.

I do want the heart of Jesus, to have the love of Jesus for this world. I want Jesus to reveal His glory in my life. I don't want to be afraid to lift up His name in the world. I do want to give the world a taste of Jesus!

    This is an awesome song! I loved it. This is a subject I have been thinking over too. I read through your last several post and I echo many of your sentiments. My husband and I just had a conversation this morning about the friends we hang out with. I think it has to be a balance between our Christian and non Christian friends or else we do end up in a bubble. It's tough to balance it sometimes.

    hey-
    We LOVE Jami! Her new cd is on my want list...
    She came to a retreat that we put on for our inner city youth, and gave all the kids cds for free, knowing their situation. Her heart is really for the Lord, wanting to make Him known. Actually, it's funny you mention her and this song, cause I've just been looking online about her (like 2 days ago!), since we'd not heard much about her latest stuff.

    I've heard this song before, but not by her. I love it! I enjoyed yesterdays post too, but couldn't get my comment to post. I had that happen once before here. Both times the verification letters wouldn't show up. Hope this one goes through! :)

    I love this song and I love Jami Smith (I actually posted this same song last month). She is so very talented!! If you don't have her CDs I highly recommend them!

    Jami is great! She did the music for a number of Vicki Courtney's Yada Yada & Between events. She is a wonderful gal, and such a great role model of someone who is sold out for God.

    She's great. I love her voice. As she smiled and sang, I could tell that she is really enjoying this and worshiping the Lord. My favorite part was - "I want to give the world a taste of the love of Jesus." I've got to look up more of her music.

    I haven't listened to the song yet, I will for sure, but real quick, just wanted to share a "must see" while in Arizona...The Grand Canyon, if you haven't been yet.

    There are lots a beautiful, natural sites in the Sedona area. I'm sure you'll enjoy your visit!

    i've like this song. i listen to it from a kathy trocolli cd.

    the salt and light concept has always stuck with me (learning it as a teen). it's easy to understand the concept and effects on this world.
