The person smiled at me and said, "Ok! Ok! you are certainly passionate about His Word. Maybe you're right"
Yes they were right I do hunger after God's Word, but I still fail to be in it always like I want. But those times I skip it I can tell you that I become like a person anxious to get back to her favorite book to see what happens next!
His Word keeps me blameless and pure
His Word is a treasure I store in my heart
Memorizing His Word may keep me from sin
I meditate on His Word and delight in it
I am strengthen by His Word
His Word offers me hope
It is a light for my path
His Word brings freedom
It gives understanding (Ps 119)
His Word is Truth (John 17:17)
It is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness
It equips me for every good work (2Titus 3:16,17)
His Word is my sword (Eph 6:17)
His Word is living and active
It is sharper than any double-edged sword
it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow;
it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. (Heb 4:12)
Reading His Word brings joy to my heart (Ps 19:8)
His Word is trustworthy (Ps 111:7)
Of course there are many more reasons to be THANKFUL for His WORD, but you'll have to read it for yourself to find out!

A very inspirational post. I can definitely see that you are passionate about God's Word. I'm sure that pleases Him very much.
ReplyDeleteBless you for being so passionate about Gods Word dear one.
ReplyDeleteHow can we NOT be passionate about God's word?! If we love Him? It makes me sad when I am not, cause it is like a litmus test for my heart. It is a good reminder to cry out to Him to help me, to change my heart, cause if I'm not valuing His words, then I'm valuing something else, and that's scary!
ReplyDeleteYes, my hubby is a sweetie! This is one way that he shows his love toward me, and I think it really helps us to appreciate each other. If we were closer, I'd call you to go out to dinner! :)

ReplyDeletebut my heart aches to be in the Word if it's been too many days. It's painful to my soul!
i know when i haven't been in His word for a couple of days but the longer it goes, the more it feels like a chore. it's not until i'm in it daily that i really enjoy it and it feeds my soul.
Wonderful post! I to desire God's word, and I sometimes don't get into it like I should, but he is growing a passion and desire in me, yes even a hunger for his word! Beth Moore once said and I live by it - if you don't have passion or desire for God's word, pray too! He will answer that in a big YES!!! So True!
