What is God saying?
What does this mean for me?
What is God trying to tell me?
Sometimes I make it harder than it needs to be. Sometimes God is simply saying I love you, be encouraged-but I'll look for something more, some deeper spiritual meaning when there is none. (At least not for this time)Then there are those times when God desires to teach me deeper truths but I'm in a hurry to start my day. I don't take the time to go deep. I just want something simple, something I can grab quick and run out the door. But God wants to show me His heart.
God's Word is so precious, it's Alive!
EverydayHe has something so amazing to show me!
EverydayI need to take time to sit quietly before Him.
To curl up in His lap with my head against His chest and listen to His heart.
Oh when will I realize that nothing is so important in life that I have to rush through my time with Him.
Nothing!
We all need to slow down.
I need to slow down.
So what if that last batch of cookies aren't made?
And will the earth stop if I don't get my cards out again today?
What is important? Really important?
I think that will look a little different for each of us today as we sit before God and listen to His heart.
If we listen, really listen, He will speak His words to our hearts.
He will tell me what I need to do today.
What better way to spend the day, to spend the season, than doing His will.
My life can be like a Mary and Martha..... I do a lot of rushing around......only to find that it is in the quite times that I find fulfillment.... great post,,, and yes we all need to slow down... I love the scripture
ReplyDelete1 Kings 19:11
And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the LORD. And, behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the LORD; [but] the LORD [was] not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; [but] the LORD [was] not in the earthquake:
1Ki 19:12 And after the earthquake a fire; [but] the LORD [was] not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.
How precious is that still small voice...
