My mind is going...

Thought you all could use a laugh on me....I thought I was all finished with my Christmas shopping.

Well I was talking to my daughter in law and she was telling me how much my son loves waffles.
So I asked her
"Do you have a waffle iron?"
"Yes, mom, you bought us one two years ago."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes mom I am sure!"
I just started laughing. I mean really what else could I do! I looked at my daughter in law and said "well I bought you another one this year!"
Guess I'm returning that and finding something else! Where did my mind go!
I suppose I should begin a file of what I buy everyone so that this doesn't happen again!!

  1. How funny! The list--Great idea! I've been on a purchase new DVD's kick for a while. I'm glad I take one of the boys with me as they have to remind me that we already have that one so I dont buy it again. I think I also need a list.

Thanks for stopping by and leaving that comment. It hit home--selfishness. That's what God has been working out of me for a while.

    Blessings in Christ--

  2. Sharon I've done that too for my son a few years ago. I bought him a DVD player. What makes me laugh about it is my son lived at home so all I had to do was open the door to his room and I could see the DVD player

  7. Yeah, well, welcome to my world!!
Hey! I'll take the waffle iron! Or, you could have a waffle iron giveaway!

Or, of course, you could return it and buy him something else. You know what would be fun? To return it, and buy him all the "waffle fixings"...like a mix, different flavored syrups, and toppings. They could have a feast!!

By the way, keep an eye on your mailbox!!

    hugs!
