Who created the heavens and stretched them out,
Who spread forth the earth and that which comes from it,
Who gives breath to the people on it,
And spirit to those who walk on it:
Oh God, it is you that gives me life and breath! You created all that I see!
"I, the Lord, have called You in righteousness,
And will hold Your hand;
I will keep You and give You as a covenant to the people,
Just as Jesus walked in righteousness you have called me to walk in righteousness. You will watch over me and keep me safe.
As a light to the Gentiles,
To open blind eyes,
To bring out prisoners from the prison,
Those who sit in darkness from the prison house.
Thank you Jesus that You came to set me free! You cured me of my spiritual blindness. You freed me from the darkness that I walked in. And you continue to free me from the area that I am still a prisoner!
Help me to be light, to lead others to freedom, to lead others to YOU!
I am the Lord, that is My name;
And My glory I will not give to another,
Nor My praise to carved images.
Behold, the former things have come to pass,
And new things I declare;
Before they spring forth I tell you of them."
Oh God may I always give you the glory for the things You have done in my life. Help me to not take any credit and give you all praise and honor!
It is snowing like crazy here and when I read this passage I was struck by the first section where it speaks of God creating the heavens and stretching forth the earth. It is truly amazing what he has created. Then it ends with the section on worshipping Him alone. This was the perfect passage for me today - Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome!! Thanks for lifting my Spirit today:)
ReplyDeleteSharon, I love your prayer in response to God's Word. The photo of the snow is stunning, too. It's been years since we have had a white December. It snowed yesterday and more expected tonght and tomorrow. Praise God for the seasons and what He brings with each one.
ReplyDeleteSharon,
ReplyDeleteLove the new look and love the words you have chosen for today! Thanks for sharing what's on your heart!

Inspiring post....... It is such a wonderful gift that we can just talk to the Father.. We can come before Him like a child.. Unafraid, confident that He is there just for us...... He is always watching us like a hen over her chicks........ A loving God that created all things...
ReplyDeleteblessing today :)
